Lacazette without a doubt for me, though the other chap is playing in a bloody awful team and has probably got them 5 places higher than they would be without him.

Cheers Alan.

I think I might plant myself in TEAM LACAZETTE soley based on someone else's opinion on FourFourTwo (yes I know they've scored him less than Batshuayi), and Grumpster's recommendation.

Batshuayi was at the game on Tuesday night as guest of a certain Mr Payet.

If experiencing that atmosphere won't convince him to come here not much will.

Payet probably needed someone to baby sit all those mini Payet's he had running around.

Batshuayi has just had a kid today so find it hard to believe he would have been in London this week.

West Ham, Tottenham and Arsenal have been handed a major boost in their efforts to sign Marseille striker Michy Batshuayi as it’s revealed the club must sell before the end of the month.

Ligue 1 journalist Mohammed Ali has revealed that Marseille recoup at least €40m to cover their financial deficit in order to meet DNCG regulations.

The story comes from French source La Provence, who state that Marseille already accounted for Batshuayi’s departure in their club accounts, meaning they need to agree a deal for him to leave in order to present them by the end of the month.

Some serious financial trouble they're in, by the looks of it. Mismanagement or something else?

I don't think the usual agency are that keen on Batshuayi.

Re: Batshuayi definitely leaving Marseille this summer
It's always been a bit of a soap opera of a club and while there have long been some unhealthy links with the local mafia, their situation is essentially due to the fact that the owner, Margarita Louis-Dreyfus (she inherited the club when her husband died) has no interest in it.

Understandable really, I wouldn't want my life polluted with all the bullshit it involves. Simple lack of investment has put the club in this situation. She recently put the club up for sale after struggling for years with how best to exit. Apparently, there is now a serious potential buyer, some Iranian crowd. Fortunately, that should take some time to resolve, if it does go through.

As for the 'usual agency' not being keen on Batshuayi, there's no evidence for that at all. If the Mckays can do the deal, and Marseille have long been a big earner for them, they will.

Massive shame if true but, with no inside knowledge at all, I find it hard to see how it makes sense.

If Arse sign Vardy, he won't be going there. Spirs have Kane, so why go there to play second fiddle?

We have at least two striking vacancies, so get yer arse over to the Mahindra Samsung Angeethieva.com OS stadium.
